On February 15, 2021, ZOR Milieukontakt Macedonia organized the second training on the topic "RETURNING TO NATURE: Principles for investing in jobs related to nature protection and initiatives to stimulate the economy after the pandemic." The training was implemented within the CBIT project "Strengthening the institutional and technical capacity to improve transparency on climate change under the Paris Agreement (CBIT project)" of the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning (MoEPP), which is implemented in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Global Environment Facility (GEF).
The aim of the workshop is to provide information to relevant stakeholders and academia on the links between nature conservation actions, climate change, the need for nature conservation jobs and investments in the low-carbon green economy in the post-pandemic period.
The workshop was attended by around 40 representatives of public institutions, representatives of the Government of RNM, MoEPP, MLSP, UNDP, GEF, Institute of Biology, Faculty of Natural Sciences, municipalities in RNM and representatives of civil society organizations working in the field of environment.
